The Reef Rescue Network (RRN), an initiative by the Perry Institute for Marine Science (PIMS), collaborates with non-profit organizations, dive shops, resorts, and forward-thinking businesses dedicated to coral restoration. Committed to bolstering coral reef health, the RRN focuses on revitalizing coral populations and fostering resilience in the face of modern global challenges like climate change, pollution, and coral disease. By addressing this urgent need for restoration, the RRN serves as a beacon of hope in safeguarding Caribbean coral reefs for future generations.
The Reef Rescue Network manages a vast network of coral nurseries, creating location-specific coral restoration goals, growing corals within-in-situ (open ocean) nurseries, and planting nursery-reared corals onto reefs. Additionally, we monitor the success of our restoration efforts from individual coral to the entire reef ecosystem.
Established by the Perry Institute for Marine Science (PIMS), the Reef Rescue Network (RRN) is committed to coral restoration.
Our network of non-profits and for-profit businesses address the critical need to meaningfully rehabilitate reef ecosystems at a large scale.
